Locked The eastern frontier along the mountains. Poor, tough and strategically vital: any army from the East must come through here.

Why it matters

The only road through the mountains runs through Hollowpass, and the Sunstone the Empire covets comes out of the Marches' hills. The secret accord of 900 AP would have ceded the whole region to Kaelen.

The Warden

Tristen, as Lord Trevor, was knighted Lord Protector of the Marches. The Marchers loved him. Marcher lords hold high justice: the right to try and hang.
