The Red Ribbon

The Red Ribbon

Honours Alyssa Kruger
Sign A red ribbon
Since Late summer 909 AP

Locked A banner without an owner: red ribbons on doorframes, harness straps and sword hilts, for the girl who wouldn't kneel.

The movement

Ordinary Aldorians believe Alyssa was one of theirs. The Regency branded her an Aldorian assassin and so handed her to the Aldorians. Recruiting has surged, and some captains tell it as if they planned it. In the western Kaelen river towns, children sing of the girl with the red ribbon who wouldn't kneel.

The problem

It belongs to a dead Kaelen commoner who answered to no crown. A king who claims it risks stealing it.

DM only

In the projected Age of Ribbons, the story spreads faster than the Regency can hang the people telling it, and red ribbons appear on the gates of Lotus barracks.
