Kira¶
Kira

| Numbers | Ghost-12, then Ghost-Zero |
| Alias | "Lady Kira", in Aldoria |
| Served | Grandmaster Vane |
| Died | Summer 902 AP, at Blackwater |
| Status | Dead |
Locked Ghost-12 in childhood and Tristen's secret partner. She named him, then lit the fire meant to end him, and took the Ghost-Zero seat for it.
Twelve and Nine¶
In the cadre, Kira was loud where Nine was quiet, reckless where he was careful: "opposite the way a lock is opposite its key". In the dark, where no handler could see, two numbered children did the forbidden thing and named each other. She called him Tristen, and he called her Kira. These were aliases they gave each other, not formal names: the Lotus records her only as Twelve, and later Zero. The Grandmaster himself never saw it.
The betrayal¶
In spring 900 AP she was given the oldest choice the Lotus keeps, him or you. She chose the ring and lit the match, as Vane's instrument, aiming for the Zero seat rather than the whole scheme. She led the hunt and was raised to Ghost-Zero.
Death¶
She held the ring for two years, from spring 900 AP to her death in summer 902 AP. At Blackwater, Tristen gave it to Vesper. See the history of the Numbers.
In Aldoria she went by "Lady Kira". From Blackwater she ran Gorath's plot against Oakhaven, and Trevor sent Gorath back to her, disabled, as a message. At Blackwater Tristen killed them both. She lost the coin toss, called "Dragon", and took a clean death.
DM only
Tristen never understood that his question, "Do you fear death?", was hers, aimed at every stranger's throat because it could no longer be aimed at her.
