Hollowpass

Hollowpass

Hollowpass, a grey stone fortress walling the only road through a snowy mountain pass

Region The Marches
Garrison About 350, under Captain Dorne
Battles The Hollow War; the first assault, spring 907 AP

Locked The grim stone fortress that holds the only road through the mountains. Named, some say, for the hollows where the Hollow War's dead lie.

Campaign One

Brother Cobb starved the garrison to feed Captain Sarith's hidden camp above the pass, which waited to be let through. Lord Trevor fed the fort, and Dorne armed against the camp.

The first assault

At the spring new moon of 907 AP, Kaelen attacked over the walls and over the reopened The Serpent's Stair. The pass held. Dorne, Vaelen, Lord Ardent's 800, royal troops and the King-Consort defended it. Sarith's company died on the southern ridge under the banner Stay. Captain Dorne was badly wounded early and carried back to Thornford, still demanding to stay.

In the siege that followed (907–908 AP), Oren burned the ledger and was the last one standing when Hollowpass fell.
