Captain Sarith

Captain Sarith, a wry Kaelen officer in a worn crimson coat on a mountain ridge

Command	Sarith's company, about 500
Origin	Kaelen
Died	Spring 907 AP, at Hollowpass
Status	Dead

Locked The Kaelen officer abandoned by his own Empire, who chose to stay, served the Aldorian crown, and died holding the ridge under the banner Stay.

Character¶

Intelligent, wry, and endlessly curious about the King-Consort's true nature.

The camp above the pass¶

In 902 AP Sarith commanded the hidden Kaelen advance army of about 500 above Hollowpass, fed on supplies stolen by Brother Brother Cobb and waiting to be invited through. When Lord Trevor collapsed the The Serpent's Stair that autumn, his Empire abandoned him. He made a humanitarian truce and wintered his men in the Marches.

In Aldoria's service¶

He and most of his men chose to stay and serve the Aldorian crown as frontier soldiers: living proof of the truce.

Stay¶

When Kaelen attacked at the spring new moon of 907 AP, Sarith's company held the southern ridge on the first night under the banner Stay. None of them went home.
